This project began in 2004. The funding was done by Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Finland, Norwegian Church Aid, Somali Diaspora Community and implemented by Gannaane organization.

Garbolow Primary School. The rehabilitation programme involved repairing and expanding the school physical infrastructure and supporting operational costs and providing learning materials with a commitment on giving stipend to teachers as a motivation to keep and sustain them for the sake of children. Today, the school has stabilized quite well, learning process and environment is normal and many pupils have been sitting exams and proceeding to secondary and tertiary schools.
