Gender-based violence (GBV)
For more than 10 years, Gannaane org has been working on programs to prevent gender-based violence (GBV) and we have extensive experience in preventing and solving this problem related to GBV, having worked in Finland and Somalia. We plan to expand the geographical coverage and quality of GBV’s special services 2023- 2025, Including case management and psychosocial support, and implements in a targeted manner GBV prevention interventions aimed at changing negative social norms Perpetuates GBV.
• Providing quality protective cases through GBV shelters is a priority to ensure this Vulnerable women and girls have options to ensure safety. GBV actors both in the board and nongovernment should support shelters.
• Work with GBV coordination mechanisms to identify relevant gaps Ensure the availability of technical support and coordination with other operators and work With other sectors to improve multidisciplinary support for survivors. And support Adapt and implement the Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse (PSEA) Code of conduct to reduce exploitation and abuse.
• Support addresses barriers to access to services and specific GBV risks Different groups, especially teenage girls, older women, women and girls Disabled, widowed and divorced women and girls.
